A producer from Maipo Valley, Chile.
Vintage:

Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon

Region: Maipo Valley, Chile

Interpretation: 600 ppm of tannins is considered low for a Cabernet Sauvignon, although it is more common at this price point. Despite the varietal having abundant tannins, many producers restrict extraction to minimize astringency. A 0.36 pTAN:IRP ratio suggests limited extraction, higher cropped vines, or a combination of the two.

Chile

Chile is renowned for its elegant and fruit-forward Carménère, structured Cabernet Sauvignon, and crisp whites like Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Located between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Chile benefits from a Mediterranean climate with cooling coastal breezes and high-altitude influences, creating ideal conditions for a wide variety of grapes. Its diverse terroirs range from alluvial riverbeds in the Central Valley to granite and clay soils in coastal regions like Casablanca and granite-rich terraces in the Andes foothills. Chile is one of the few places in the world that has phylloxera-free vineyards and own-rooted vines.
